We believe in the importance of the developing children’s processing power!

Storybook Haven is a business that was started by two women — one with growing concern for her nieces and nephews’ educational progress, the other a teacher that left the classroom due to her dissatisfactions with the nature of public education. Both of these women shared a common goal: To fill the gaps they observed in their family members and former students.

The observations included a general disinterest in reading, a lack of comprehension and critical thinking during conversation and reading, and poor classroom practices becoming mainstream and taking precedence over the true development and application of the concepts children are “learning” in school. This is why it is the mission of Storybook Haven to address and fill the gaps, to create a culture of independent thinking and lifelong learning for children.
